Garza's Christmas Potatoes

Ingredients:
  • 8 to 10 white potatoes
  • 2 pounds Gouda cheese
  • 1 pound mushrooms
  • 1 pound ham
  • 1 pound bacon
  • 1 pint Mexican crema; that is sour cream
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • Half an onion
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Preparation:
Peel and boil the potatoes. Once boiled, set them aside and let cool. While potatoes cool, in a pan cook bacon, then mushrooms, then ham, onion and garlic. Cut potatoes in circles. Preheat oven at 375 degrees. Butter a baking dish and layer potatoes first, then ham, bacon, mushrooms, onion, garlic and cheese. Continue layering to top of the baking dish. Top off with cheese and Mexican crema. Put in oven for 30 minutes or until golden.
